- Open a table. Sidebar + → Blank table, or Import CSV if you already have a file. See Import for mapping tips.
- Open Agents. Click Agents in the title bar (robot icon). Ask a question about the table or let the agent run reads and writes with your approval policy.
Check that it worked
- The grid shows rows (or an empty table ready for data).
- The status bar lists your workspace, table name, and row count.
- The Agents panel opens on the right without hiding the table.

FAQs
Do I need an account to try Appenda?
No. Free local mode works without signing in. Sign in when you want cloud sync, team workspaces, or paid plan features.
Where do I download macOS and Windows builds?
Use appenda.app/download. Release builds appear there as they ship.
Can I connect an external agent on day one?
Yes, after Appenda desktop is running. See Connect with MCP for Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code setup. The in-app Agents panel works without MCP.
